Since 2004, Microinsurance has been of growing interest to the federal government and the National Council of Private Insurance (CNSP). In 2006, the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), formed the Joint Working Group on Microinsurance, with Susep (Brazilian Private Insurance Superintendence) as a member and contributor.
Two years later, the CNSP created the Advisory Committee on Microinsurance, with representatives of the market and chaired by the superintendent of Susep, including the Escola Nacional de Seguros, which was responsible for coordinating the research sub-group, with the objective to support policy measures and provide suggestions for effective implementation of Microinsurance in Brazil.
Aiming to disseminate the results of this work for the insurance market and other sectors concerned, the school offers, links below, the research developed.
